First, please take a look at the letter we have sent out to the friends of Come Rest Ministries, sharing the blessings that we have experienced in serving our mighty God.

Second, we would like to share a word of testimony from John Long, a dear friend and part of this ministry, on what God has done in his life through this ministry. Click here to see his letter.

Also, to the right, you will see photos from the Cedar Rapids Mid-Winter Encounter, February 8 and 9, where 137 people shared in a closer walk with Jesus. Click here for more information on Come Rest Encounter events. We will post photos of the Encounters as they are available. Another Come Rest Mid-Winter Encounter in Sigourney on Saturday, February 16 was attended by over 50 people.

Spring Come Rest Encounters were held on April 12 and on April 26 in Harvest Fellowship Church in Vinton, and another Encounter was held on May 2-3 in Cedar Rapids.

In Matthew 11 the Lord says, “Come to me …and I will give you rest… learn from me for I am gentle…” In Revelation 2, He wants to be our first love. In John 7, He wants to release “living water” from us. In Isaiah 58 He promises to make us a well-watered garden if we honor Him and help broken people.

Come Rest Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry led by Dick and Kim Speight. Dick retired in 2006 after 27 years as a United Methodist pastor. The Speights are now investing their lives in the Come Rest Vision.

“Resting in Jesus’ love is for every moment. Resting in Him is the most fruitful thing you can do. As you rest in His love, His presence comes to rest on you, and His kingdom advances wherever you go!” - Dick Speight
